Everything You Never Knew You Wanted to Know About Berlin

THE SCENT OF BERLIN

90 Years of Harry Lehmann’s Hand-made Perfumes and Artificial Flowers Shop: from Potsdamer Strasse in 1926, to Friedrichstrasse in 1939 and to Kantrasse soon after 1946.

Artificial flowers sold at Harry Lehmann’s are quite peerless. Such is their quality that it is virtually impossible to tell them from real blooms.

The shop has been offering handmade scents from the day of its opening – the oldest one and the most popular in the 1920s was their violet essence. Today, you can buy around 30 perfumes made by the shop’s owner and her assistant.

Our absolute favourite is Lindenblüte – the smell of linden trees in bloom. The ultimate Berlin scent:-)
