The magnificent light-court of the historic main post office building in Szczecin (Stettin) in Poland.

The building was designed by Carl Schwatlo, the architect of Berlin’s Reichspostmuseum (Museum of Communication today) on the corner of Leipziger Straße and Mauerstrasse in Mitte.

Interestingly enough, the family name of the architect “Schwatlo” translates as “”light” (“światło”) in Polish.
