Everything You Never Knew You Wanted to Know About Berlin

LIFE AMONG THE RUINS

nina leen villa dinner

This photo taken by the LIFE magazine photographer, Nina Leen – a Russian-born American who studied and lived in Berlin until 1939, when she decided emigrate to the USA – is a wonderful witness of the slow re-awakening of the city after WW2.

Although unsigned, it was most probably taken in 1950 during Leen´s assignment in Berlin, however, the exact location of the house is unknown.
