WATCHING THE SOLAR ECLIPSE THROUGH A HOME-MADE THINGY

Here is a super-quick way to enjoy the eclipse: a cardboard paper tube (available at Modulor or any stationary products shop around the corner and those open right now:), a piece of aluminium foil, a piece of Butterbrot paper (greaseproof paper) from Rossmann or DM, 2 rubber bands and a needle.

Wrap the aluminium foil smoothly around one end of the tube, the greaseproof paper around the other one (keeping the surface nice and smooth again), secure both with rubber bands and then make a tiny hole in the middle of the aluminium foil cover using the said needle.

Stand with your back against a wall (to avoid shaking unless you have a really steady hand) and point the aluminium foil end at the sun. Hold the other end some 20 cm away from your face but covering the sun and the strongest light around it and look at the greaseproof paper like at the screen.

Fantastic method to prepare really quickly:) You still have some 30-40 minutes to go.
