KREUZBERGED BERLIN

Everything You Never Knew You Wanted to Know About Berlin

YOU ARE HERE: JUNGFERN BRIDGE

Jungfernbrücke by Hans Baluschek

The painting above, called JUNGFERNBRÜCKE, was created by Hans Baluschek, a famous Berlin artist and the author of some of the most impressive early 20th-century images of the city, between 1926 and 1927.

The 18th-century Jungfernbrücke in Berlin-Mitte, spanning the River Spree arm Kupfergraben and linking Friedrichsgracht to Oberwasserstraße, is the oldest still used bridge in Berlin.
