KREUZBERGED BERLIN

Everything You Never Knew You Wanted to Know About Berlin

MUSIC SOOTHES THE SOUL: FRYDERYK CHOPIN

I have been watching Sesame Street with my two younger boys when Elmo played a piece of music that made me want to pack up my rucksack, take the first available train back to Poland and then run down the meadows and fields with my hair a-streaming and with the pearly laughter of happy female peasants in my ears.

But utopia aside, this is still one of the most beautiful pieces of music I know. This is magic in D-flat major.

Minute Waltz (originally called A Little Dog´s Waltz) written by the Polish composer Fryderyk Chopin for Countess Delfina Potocka. Here played by Tzvi Erez
