MUSIC SOOTHES THE SOUL: ERIK SATIE

Today probably best known as part of the soundtrack for Wes Anderson´s “The Royal Tenenbaums” the dream-like Gymnopédies of Erik Satie are among the most beautiful small piano music pieces ever written: gentle, simple and mesmerising.

Perfect for a mid-week pause.

The Gnossiennes and the Gymnopedies are among my favorite pieces. I haven’t seen that Wes Anderson film, but now I’m going to. Thanks
