Everything You Never Knew You Wanted to Know About Berlin
Since my days at the Museum of Technology in Berlin-Kreuzberg are over (to allow me to move to some new pastures which I shall introduce shortly), the likewise named series of posts had to be chopped, too.
Being poor of sight but equipped with hearing that no bat would wrinkle its tiny nose at, I decided to start something new. Listening and eavesdropping have great past and even greater future. And as much as I love watching and looking, I have discovered that in this great whirlpool of a city that Berlin is, it´s often enough to stop and drop the vision to hear her really breathing.
Sometimes she chirps and twitters, sometimes she chokes on the exhaust fumes and now and then she screams loud through the ambulance horns. But she is never quiet. And, perish the thought, should she ever be.
