Everything You Never Knew You Wanted to Know About Berlin
Spotted today on the crossing Mehringdamm/Gneisenaustrasse/Yorckstrasse. An ugly act of ruber-necking on my part but honestly, how often do you see a helicopter blocking the traffic in Kreuzberg?
Only a good reporter is at the right spot at the right time. I lost a school friend at that crossing in 1942 when Berlin still had trams everywhere. In the building on the right Gottfried Benn used to live.
