KREUZBERGED BERLIN

Everything You Never Knew You Wanted to Know About Berlin

TRAINS IN THE STREETS OF SYRACUSE, NY

So far I have not been able to find any images of the Verbindungsbahn in the streets of Berlin to illustrate the post for Today in Kreuzberg: September 15th. However, the pictures from Syracuse, NY (taken between 1907 and 1945) give a pretty good impression of what it must have been like to have steam engine trains cross your daily path on the way to Hasenheide, Kottbusser Tor or the bakery near Anhalter Bahnhof.

All images come from an absolutely fantastic treasure chest of historical photos: www.retronaut.co. Warning: Highly addictive!
