KREUZBERGED: BERLIN COMPANION

Everything You Never Knew You Wanted to Know About Berlin

SPOTTED IN PASSING: SUMMER IS A-LEAVING

Today was a beautiful day: still hot but already smelling of leaves and of the autumn water in Landwehrkanal.

Here is my impression of what was very likely the last day of summer this year. I am not going to mourn it for long: I am looking forward to the long slim yellow leaves that cover Böckhstrasse in late September. They make me slow down in more than one sense when I ride over them on my bike.

After all, as I have already mentioned today: Ти́ше е́дешь — да́льше бу́дешь. Ти́ше е́дешь — да́льше бу́дешь… Good night, Kreuzberg.
