Everything You Never Knew You Wanted to Know About Berlin And Kreuzberg
Here´s Jesper Munk, the young (oh, so very young!) man who made my iron jaw drop last night so fast and so loud that the thud could be heard all over Gleisdreieck Park.
Fully aware of the fact that ALL artists hate being compared to other artists, the shameless me I am going to do the comparison anyway: Mr Munk is Jeff Buckley, the White Stripes and the whole armada of delta blues heavyweights rolled into one.
He might look like a 15-year-old with a guitar but he sounds like Big “Dude” Lebowsky. He he could sing, of course.
And one more thing: the crowd and its reverential focus on every note this young man produced last night were the best proof that Mr Munk is onto something. It might be a damn big career:-)
