Here are three images of the Verwaltungsgebäude of the old hospital Am Urban. Today it is a residential building which can be seen from the garden of the new Urban Krankenhaus. Access through a public path open during the day.

    It awakes memories. I was there for about three weeks in February / March 1945.

    All wards were underground because of the daily air raids.

      It is nothing short of a miracle that the place was not bombed down, considering that it was an easy target and so close to the canal and Urbanhafen. You were very lucky, indeed, too!
