Can you interpret the picture? I presume it’s a modern version of those “plague columns” you find in European cities – but what, for instance, do the two pillars represent? Are they the entrance to hell?
The truth is much more mundane that one could think: the box on which somebody sprayed the word is a telephone distribution hub. The thought behind the image was: “influenza is a pest and spraying/graffiti is considered to be one, too”:) Hence the picture´s title.
