Unfortunately, in my currently rather busy schedule there is hardly any time left for research or writing about Kreuzberg (obviously two of my ever favourite occupations). But there is always time for listening to good music. Here are some thoughts provoked by it.
The voice makes a man – at least to my ears. Take David Beckham: God knows he is not the ugliest guy on Earth (although he is definitely not the most attractive one either), he is fit and his tattoos are not so ill chosen as one could initially think.
Still, as soon as Becks opens his mouth, not even bending it twice could help. It is just plain wrong.
So I asked myself: if I were a man for a day, whose voice would I like to have? Who sounds so well that I would exchange my, let´s be honest, pretty middling tone for? Whom would I wish to be in the Realm of Singing if I were to join its male wing?
After long and exhausting consideration that took me some 2.8675 seconds, I came to the following conclusion(s). And it´s a tie:)
Chris Cornell of Soundgarden
or/and
Layne Staley of Alice in Chains
